Shatterproof Glass is a collection of self-portraits and writing reflecting a year on from what was one of the hardest periods of my life. I had my heart broken just days after a suicide attempt, and the next chapter almost broke me. It was a period of putting myself back together. Realising that relationship was not what I had thought it was. Coming back to myself and also trying to figure out who I was again after such turbulence. Being picked back up by platonic love. Learning to trust love again. Falling back in love with myself and my life. This body of work has been a way of processing and letting go of that journey.
It is by far the most vulnerable work I’ve ever created. Much of processing this period of my life was very solitary, so it felt important to record and share it as honestly as i could.
